Early Halloween

It's that time of year again - Halloween, Lillie's favorite holiday! If Lillie had her way our house would be decorated as much as it is for Christmas. This year Lillie had to come up with a costume that would not only work for Halloween but also for her school storybook parade. So she decided to be a black cat. One of her favorite books is Kat Kong by Dav Pilkey. She checked it out so much last year from the school library that Eric and I finally bought her her own copy. It is a pretty funny book and Lillie loves cats so we understood why she liked it so much. The storybook parade was on Friday and grades 2-6 line the hallways clapping and cheering on the kinder and first graders as they walk through the hallways. When Lillie's class came around the corner I could see her making these funny/sad faces and I wasn't sure what was going on. When they got closer I noticed that the teacher leading the class behind Lillie's was banging cymbals the whole way and it was beginning to get to Lillie. By the time the parade was over and Lillie's class was in her classroom she was crying. Eric asked her what was wrong and she said she had a huge headache from all of the noise! Poor Lillie! For those of you that know Lillie she is super busy and she can actually be very loud herself, but Lillie has never liked to be in loud environments. I think it is too over stimulating for her. Anyway over all she had a great time being Kat Kong!
Tonight we went to a carnival in our neighborhood and we are planning on trick or treating tomorrow. I think she's a pretty cute Kitty!

The girls and I have never read KAT KONG, but I'll have to go check it out. Lillie does make a very cute kitty! And by the way - I love the background template that you have on the blog now. Very cute!
